CASE: Projection for the light festival Allt Ljus På Uppsala.

IMC presented a simple idea to the jury of Allt Ljus På Uppsala. A light festival which takes place in november to december. Our vision was to project art on the facade of a massive futuristic structure and Uppsala concert and congress hall was the perfect choice. The idea was to change the way people normally sees this building by using abstract shapes and colors. To do this we brought in the heavy artillery. The BP 6 GT Turbo HMI 6kW projector wich our friends Pani builds by hand in Austria. We went up to Uppsala and built a weatherproof structure where we placed the projector on the roof right across the street from the building. All the content was made in house and the result of the whole installation blew the visitors away.

CASE: Light design & art curation for the new club Gallery 2.35:1.

To continue the success story of the legendary nightclub 2.35:1, Berns completely redesigned the venue during the summer of 2012. We at IMC were involved as light designers together with our office partners Ljusrum for the environment lighting. The new concept involves amongst many other things, a gallery, where artists from all over the world will be painting their art exclusively on the walls. IMC were acting as art curators for the opening and the first period of 3 months, inviting Paulo Arraiano from Portugal and Lisa Rinnevuo from Stockholm, Sweden. Their mix of styles fit perfect on the wall and we could not be more happy with the result. To put our finishing touch on the light design, we also designed and programmed all the show lighting for the venue.

CASE: 360 full HD video wall for Sandvik´s trade show stand in Chicago.

IMC created a massive video wall for Sandvik and their stand at the 29th edition International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago. This was done by using 4 powerful custom built Watchout servers to output HD material to 16 projectors that together created a seamless video that span the entire stand. A total image size of 96 x 4 meters was experienced by the audience! The staff that were presenting Sandvik´s services could slide in presentations on a given place of the wall at any time by using an ipod touch as remote. This gave them the opportunity to freely choose when they were going to run the presentations for their clients during the trade show event.

CASE: Pani projection for the Art Space in Cascais.

IMC went to Portugal, contracted by Câmara Municipal de Cascais to project art on 3 buildings during their Art festival. The festival lasted for 10 days and 10 nights. The projection started at 21:30 every night with a sound landscape produced by Chico and Sebastian. This year, many artists created amazing artwork, mapped to the buildings. The result was stunning and magical, with 44 different contents sharing the facades. We hope that we are welcome back next year again! IMC + Cascais = true!

CASE: Videomapping and Pani projection @ Trädgården.

GFC and Vidiots asked us to realize a massive projection setup for Sony during the Sony Spring Festival that was held underneath the bridge, at the club Trädgården in June. The setup contained 6 HD projectors covering the pillars with video content produced by Vidiots and one Pani BP6 to cover the ”roof” with still images. 2 servers running Watchout ensured a stable playback for the entire night!

CASE: Visuals for the release of Turbonegros new album Sexual Harassment

Ones again our good friends at Universal Music contacted us regarding visual back up for the amazing rockband Turbonegros release party of their new album Sexual Harassment.

Gladly we said yes and together with one of the best rockbands of our time we made the night 13:th of June 2012 at Lydmar Hotels beautiful tarrace one to remember.

CASE: Pani projection and release party for Madonnas new album MDNA.

Universal Music asked us for some creative input regarding the release of a new album from one of their artists. Of course we said yes! We were even more surprised and happy when we found out that it was Madonna! We suggested them to make a Pani projection on a building in the city to create awareness of the new release. As Lydmar Hotel is our friends, we thought that it would be a good idea to project on their beautiful building.

Not only is the building beautiful and central, the people working there are beautiful to, and promised to help in every way to make the night special! A night dedicated to Madonna happened, monday the 26:th of March 2012. IMC got some great artists involved to create art in tribute to Madonna. Special thanks for amazing artwork!

CASE: Graphical concept and production for Charlotte Perrellis show at melodifestivalen 2012.

EMI contacted IMC and asked us to realize the stage concept for Charlottes comeback in melodifestivalen. The production included specially made content, matching her and her dancers choreography. The content was projected on to a large screen that was placed behind Charlotte and her dancers. The effect gave the TV audience the experience of being somewhere else then on the actual stadium, in real time. The graphics followed the moves of the people in front of the stage, creating the illusion of an interactive show!

CASE: Large scale projection on a mountain!

Audi is one of the major sponsors of the famous ski resort Åre in the northern part of Sweden. We have talked about a massive projection onto the actual mountain. This winter it happened! IMC used a large scale projector with a crazy looking lens to project the Audi rings in the steepest part that is visible from the main center. The setup covers a surface of approximately 1 300 m2 from 450 meters distance, and can be seen on a clear day from several miles! The installation shines light on the slope for one month, sitting safe inside a specially build weather proof container. With a automatic hot and cold system we keep the temperature stable inside during our arctic winter!

CASE: Interactive light and sound installation in cooperation with Thyréns and Stockholm City.

During Stockholm design week, a light project happens every year that unite light designers in Stockholm to create an visual installation. The idea behind the project is to show citizens of Stockholm what you can do with a otherwise urban and boring environment, how you can change it with light and sound to create new experiences. This installation is set underneath a bridge at Östra järnvägsgatan. Visitors and passers by, could interact with the installation by pressing a button on the wall, thus changing the environment into 3 different sceneries. Changing between a jazz club, a disco club and a techno club. IMC set up a Pani projector to project the three different sceneries.

CASE: Universal Music contacted IMC and asked for our help with the production of Maskinens appearance at the annual Swedish music awards P3 gold.

The challenge was, under a very short time frame manage the communications between laser artists, light operator and AV technician to create a coherent show. Through technical coordination and exceptional lighting design, Maskinens appearance in live television was a hit!

CASE Moving outdoor projections for VW and the Swedish ski team.

IMC was involved in the commercial for VW and the Swedish ski team. We rigged two 15 000
ansilumen projectors on cars. While driving in the snow landscape, videos of historical
moments of the Swedish ski team were projected on trees, mountains and buildings.

CASE: Pani projection during the celebration of the new year

During the New Year celebration on the Senate Square in Helsinki, IMC set up a massive
projection shooting images on two buildings on each side of the square. We used 6 BP6
projectors with a total output of 36 000 Watt!

CASE: Lighting design and visuals for Berns and 2.35:1 christmas party.

Once again, our friends at Berns asked us at IMC to come up with a spectacular lighting design for their yearly party on the christmas day, 25:th of december. This night  at Berns was very special as Drumcode celebrate 15 years of releasing the best techno music in the world this year. Berns was filled with an amazing lineup of artists, and IMC topped the event with a lighting design out of the ordinary. In short, a night to remember.

CASE Presentation Spring collection 2012

IMC made a special widescreen installation for Adidas and their internal presentation of the
spring collection 2012. We took a PowerPoint presentation and added it to the right side of the screen, on the left side we animated a spinning Originals logotype . The whole system was controlled via an IPhone.

CASE De ou par Marcel Duchamp par Ulf Linde

IMC got the honor to work with the exhibition for Ulf Linde at The Royal Swedish Academy
of Fine Arts, displaying some of Duchamp finest pieces. IMC designed the lighting and the
technical solutions for the whole exhibition including a projection solution of Marcels last
piece, Étant donnés. This specific pice is a replica made by Ulf himself, of the real installation
and has never been displayed in public before.

CASE Official after party for Popaganda @ Färgfabriken

IMC delivered a full solution of technology and design for Popagandas after party at färgfabriken.
We provided the main stage, a projection room and a smaller dance floor. With us you always

CASE Veronica Maggio

Veronica released a new album in the spring of 2011 called “Satan i gatan” The release got
a massive breakthrough that led to a national tour where she played at all the biggest
festivals in Sweden. When Veronica was going to hit the road on her extensive tour summer
2011, she wanted something extra for her 2 gigs in Stockholm. IMC worked with the concept and
idea for the AV-production and produced content for the projections. We worked with
videomapping to create two layers, displaying the image on a massive
backdrop, as well as on a round truss. She played 2 nights in august for a full house
@ Cirkus.

CASE 360 Dome projection

During the yearly festival in Malmö city, IMC in cooperation with zeppelinare.se created a
360 dome projection in a 15 meters inflatable dome. IMC created a setup using a spherical
mirror, one large projector, special software and content to cover the entire surface of the
dome. The light installation lasted for 8 nights, inviting visitors into this immersive
experience, to relax in the couches and enjoy the video content playing on this massive
format. The content was produced through a special lens, and were filmed in the nature to create
a natural effect in the urban environment.

CASE 2.35:1 Summer club 2011

Martin Kling and our LD Magnus Lundin have a creative history together where Magnus has
been involved in the famous club 2.35:1´s light design. When the club moved up from the
basement they asked us to come up with an idea and concept for their summer club.
We worked with Maya to build up a model of Berns, we then imported the model in a
visualization program to create a realistic video how it would look like. Here we can choose the
different lamps for DMX and also visualize the image for the video surface. We also programmed
a custom made content management system for the visuals where the operator can upload their
own material, mix in between the videos and use different effects.

CASE Magical places

The agency Naked asked us at IMC if we could help them with the challenge they faced when
Disney asked them to make ordinary places more magical in Scandinavia. We suggested some
ideas for them. One amongst them was to create an interactive wall where kids would walk past
an ordinary brick wall, turning it into a magical place where they could draw various graphical
content with their bare hands. IMC created software using a depth-sensing camera, reacting to
movement within a certain distance, interacting with hands and arms of the children. This way
we could keep the wall as an ordinary brick wall until someone came close enough, then it
changed into a magical, interactive wall!

CASE Video cube

When Stocktown released their new webpage stockTV, they asked us at IMC to come up with
something different during their 3-month exhibition at the culture house in Stockholm. We
came up with the idea and concept of having an object in the middle of the room showing a
favorite selection of movie clips from their webpage. We created the video cube! With only two
projectors we played up videos on all the 6 surfaces. With remote access to the setup and with
cameras surveilling the installation, we can be sure that it is running stable every day for three
months!

CASE Digital bonfire

The first of May is a great popular festival in Sweden. On the eve of the festival, huge bonfires
blaze on all the hills and knolls. Our client asked us to come up with something different, an
unexpected twist on the Walpurgis Night. The result, a huge digital bonfire! In just 5 days, IMC
created fire and burning symbols to custom fit the building and made the facade come to
life. Together with a choir, singing traditional songs of spring, we created the biggest and the
most unexpected bonfire in Sweden.

CASE Lightshow at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm

IMC produced a large-scale projection on the whole facade of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm
Sweden. The projection took place during the Culture night where theaters, art exhibitions, and
museums are open till 24:00. During that night we projected art in a massive scale with 3 Pani
projectors. The culture night in Stockholm is a successful and growing event, with many more
visitors every year!

CASE Projection installation at the Auto fair in Gothenburg.

IMC created an immersive video mapping set up for Sports & Brands at Mekonomens stand at the
auto fair. Based on the request of finding a new and inventive way to tell the story about
Mekonomens history, the visitors who entered the cube experienced the movie playing on all
the surfaces. The interactive moment in this setup was a big red button that the visitors
pressed to start the movie.

Up to 12 kW HMI beamers are used to cover vast surfaces!

Do you want extra strong projectors with a high light power output? Powerful Pani projectors are
an alternative when fast moving video clips are the norm, a large and fully detailed image slide
projection can provide a much-needed counterweight. Especially one that uses hand painted or
hand colored artwork. Architecture and city planning could attain a new freedom and develop
new creative possibilities. During night hours, color and forms can be projected on vast
surfaces. Such displays are projected upon buildings for purposes of publicity, festivities,
celebrations, art expressions or propaganda. These buildings have large plane surfaces made for
this purpose, surfaces which are non-existent today.

IMC are proud exclusive partners in Sweden for the Pani equipment. Our team has been to the
Pani factory and received extensive training on how to create the best performance and output
with the Pani projectors. By combining video projection and large-scale slides you can make
some stunning artwork, on a grand scale. The HW Xenon 7K slide projector can easily project an
image from a distance of 500 meters. Imagine covering a 200-meter square surface with a
texture that goes beyond 4K. As you are able to paint directly onto the glass slides, you no longer
need to be concerned about dpi or resolution. If you pick the surface, we do the rest.

A programmer has to balance two very different worlds: a world of structure and a world of
imagination. Programming gives ultimate control. Creating something from nothing is possibly
the ultimate in creativity. The absolute control over software that a programmer has is perfect for
taking an application in any direction they wish. Programmers provide a wonderful example of
thinking outside the box, because, well, programmers can actually create the box. If you know
any programmers, they’re constantly building something. Even when they’ve finished their day

onto any sized interactive screen with no mouse or other device required. Gesture controlled

3D visualization drives results!

The use of photorealistic 3D images or animation in a campaign can illustrate a client’s product
or service in astonishing detail. By enabling the audience to see a vivid representation of the
product, property, service, piece of equipment or concept, your targeted market will become
actively engaged. IMC are official 3D Exposure partners in Sweden. 3D Exposure is a market
leader in manufacturing and development in the field of auto stereoscopic 3D solutions.

To present a scene in three dimensions, a 3D display needs to use at least two different views,
one for each eye of the observer. Multi-view auto stereoscopic displays differ from other
techniques in that they do not require the user to wear special glasses while also allowing the
experience to be viewed by an entire group of observers simultaneously

CASE: Video mapping on Fireball logotype.

Arcus Sweden contacted IMC and asked us if we had any fun ideas how to make them stand out in the market, and especially for their big event on the christmas day at the busy nightclub Solidaritet. IMC came up with the idea of cutting out their fire throwing dragon logotype in styrofoam, and map video content on it. The result was a large 220 x 220cm burning logotype hanging off the wall! The setup is now being used by Arcus on different sponsored events around Sweden!

CASE: IMC created the stage design with light and visuals for David Sandströms new project A heavy feather.

As they were about to leave for a little tour in Sweden. IMC made the graphical content together with the set designer Emma Mierse. We set out to film different environments for each track to enhance the deep vibe of this amazing album filled with emotional soundscapes. First stop was at Södra teatern in Stockholm where we set up the light design that followed them on the tour around Sweden.

CASE Visual installation in the concept store in Stockholm during the all in campaign.

IMC transformed the shopping windows at adidas concept store into two 85” digital displays. The
setup was running on Touchdesigner software to ensure a stable and reliable playback.
This setup were running day and night for two weeks during the “All in” campaign, playing the
commercials in a loop. A simple setup, but yet another proof that Touchdesigner is a very
stable software!

CASE Projection installations in Stockholm during the midnight run in august.

IMC created an immersive projection set up for Sholtz & friends and Nikes Run Unleashed
campaign. Based on the idea of a virtual ”Warp Zone”, the runners who passed the Clarion
tunnel in Stockholm experienced the effect of running at warp speed, i.e. speed of
light. The tunnel was transformed via seven 8000 ANSI lumens projectors, 30 City Colors, 3 logo
projections and a big sound system; all working in unison to enhance the experience for the
runners, and raise awareness of Nike’s Run Unleashed message.

CASE Philips sensoTouch 3D launch

To coincide with the launch of Philips new concept in shaving, United Media Group asked us to
come up with something to catch the attention of passers by in the locations where the release
tour took place. We suggested using special screens to show real 3D, without the use of any
specific glasses. IMC edited and converted the ”Philips Senso Touch 3D” commercial in to 3D. To
display this we used an auto stereoscopic 3D solution. We also provided interactive mirrors for
the four trial stations, where people could try the different shavers. The module and trial station
successfully toured nationwide from August to December 2010.
